But if wasn...Yes, it is the classic argument, Amy. But if wasn't about horses, it would be about something else. For those who have a genuine passion for The Horse, there is really is no need to justify it by pointing out the benefits. Following your passion is "a good" in its own right. And while not everyone who is close to us will "get it", as long as they accept it and support it, the rest is details. Of course, you have to do the same for them.Bob the Equestrianhttp://www.horsecrazy.net/bobsblognoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4561355549554649764.post-25433745852341428322012-07-12T02:31:46.930-07:002012-07-12T02:31:46.930-07:00I like your analogy, Victoria. I need to keep copies of that poem in my bag to hand out to folks. They still won't get it but it's much better than my attempts to explain how important my horse is to my happiness.Mehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09344393643918078175noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4561355549554649764.post-18434910309670914332012-07-09T09:53:44.767-07:002012-07-09T09:53:44.767-07:00A swift kick would feel good (to me!)

While I can almost always take a step back from a naughty (but always honest) horse I quickly fly into default mode with the 2 leggers in my herd. I guess it's because a change of aides with my horses usually produces a more desirable result while the two leggers just find another way to resist. Maybe if I tried a crop & spurs with them? Hmm.Victoriahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02440733016860369979noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4561355549554649764.post-29238933727552067692012-07-09T09:09:06.821-07:002012-07-09T09:09:06.821-07:00Exactly! A horse is love from nature. It's as though nature took on form and gave you back the love we should show it. <br />It is also a creature that I can love that never yells "Mom" in that annoying way kids and hubbies sometimes can.
