Okay, perhaps I am indulging my inner drama llama by saying I'm overdosing on George Morris this week, but really, what else can you call it? I am watching the George H. Morris Horsemastership Training Sessions before work every morning, during my lunch break, and as soon as all the dishes are put away/barn things are done at night. My kids are walking around the house parroting what they hear from my computer in their best GM impersonation, "Sitting DROT! Thaaaaaaaaat's iiiiiiiiittttt!"
My notepad and pen are next to me at all times and I am feverishly scratching out notes, planning my next torture session, uh, ride, with Sugar.
Is anybody else doing this, or am I the only addict? Is there a 12 step program for this?
Haha! I'm not a hunter rider, so it hasn't grabbed me, although I did like Anne Kursinski's session. I was glued to the computer for the livestreaming of the Olympics, though!
ReplyDeleteLove your blog! I'm also a middle-aged woman getting back in the saddle after 12 years away.
Haha I don't know who George Morris is, so obviously I'm not following his sessions at the moment-- but I CAN admit to being that "learning junkie" who feverishly scratches notes on anything that has to do with horses. I'm especially bad about it when it comes to riding and training methods/techniques; and at those times, I often feel nervous enough going into it that I would definitely refer to it as a torture session. ;D
ReplyDeleteI would be ODing on GM normally too, but since I am freshly back from my Non-Horse Vacay and have a couple days left until work I will be ODing on my horse instead :P
ReplyDeleteSo Please do Blog about the clinic so I can read about it :D
I am so addicted to it as well! Love that I can watch it on demand!
