CHIO Aachen. Aachen, Germany. |
I've been watching CHIO Aachen this morning and have come to a conclusion. At least once before I depart this earth I would like to jump around a course at Aachen.
Mind you, the fences would have to be muuuuuuuuuucccchhhhhh smaller.
Do you think they have an Itty Bitty Jumpers class at Aachen?
And the Sainted Mare's boo-boo would have to be 100% healed. That goes without saying.
But as far as Bucket List items go, it's not a bad one, don't you think?
If money and jobs and all that other crapola that normally gets in the way was not a factor, where in the world would you most like to ride?
Gad..where to start?!
ReplyDeleteOkay, assuming I was built to live the life of a jockey [and had the balls, because, lets face it, they are the bravest of the brave, ya?] I'd race ride in Australia. Not only are the tracks beautiful, the wildlife is unmatched. I have a slight obsession with reptiles.
Now lets jump back to reality to my present body, lmao!
I'll need a draft horse to cart my 500 lbs around, and..
kidding.
I would like to go to Guatemala. And Fiji. Yep. No real eventing dreams going on in this noggin'. I'd just like to ride through the forests and see nature.
Wow-- I like your fantasies! May borrow them, if that's ok by you. And yes, raceriders have enormous cajones, especially the jump jockeys.
DeleteI agree, riding at Aachen would be amazing... But I have a thing for Spruce Meadows..
ReplyDeleteOooooooh, yeah, Spruce. THAT one is DEFINITELY on my bucket list, but that bank looks a bit dicey. LOL Have a feeling I'd be doing a log roll, sans horse, down that!
